We drove to our campground, the north face of the Eiger in the distance… and it’s breathtaking. After taking the cable car to the top, we walked back along the edge of the face, into a hail storm and thunder and lightening. Loose stones and rocks are everywhere, almost falling down with every snow melt. It’s an edgy place to be. Near the end of the trail, a cafe stood… looking almost empty. As we barrelled in, it was full. Had the most delicious fruit pie and cream. This is how it felt to be here. A spray of ice and stones on the rim of a glass. Watching every step, in case you slip. Adventure and reward.

It’s weird creating art sometimes… it just appears out of nowhere. But it has to be lived, and fully, to be seen, I believe. Eiger North Face… Smiling.
